Odd things in Iowa

Tractors driving down the road
Really REALLY old tractors driving down the road
People riding down town streets with lawn mowers
People riding horses down gravel roads
Trees only by houses
Sunday: most buisnesses are closed
NO BOOK STORES
Old appliences (like old stoves, etc.)
My Grandma still washes all her dishes by hand
My Grandma doesn't own a computer
Sarah, Charity, anything else you can think of?

We don't have a dishwasher either! We're sad, pathetic people...:( Oh, well, it increases moral fiber. (whatever that means) Did you see the uber long comment on your other post? I pretty much summarized my whole day today. I liked your list. It made me laugh.

i also don't have a dishwasher! that is NOT strange and odd. i take great offense. i really missed you in chem today, i have it 7th so it feels like bio. Luckily i know a few people. Hilary Carlson in the class too. i don't have any classes w/ paula or elisabeth, i really really miss euro (the class, not the work)

Trains blocking railroad crossings when they stop; every other vehicle you pass is a truck, the best place to hang out at night as a teenager is in groups along main street. Have you seen them? The just congregate (mostly beside parked trucks)and just stand around talking. It's weird.

Yah, I've seen them. I even know some kids who do that. Usually they do it on Sunday. I have Chem last hour too. Cool. Not having a dishwasher isn't bad, except when you have a really large family (i.e. my grandparents)
