Harry Potter Question

Ok, my uncle Gregg just called me and had a question about the last HP book. I had no idea, so I decided to put it on here and see if anyone has any idea.
In the end of the book, Neville had the had and pulled out the sword of Griffindore. He then proceeded to kill Voldimort's snake. The question is, were did the sword come from? The last you saw it was w/ the goblin. Any ideas?

isn't it obvious? MAGIC!*!*! how else is rowling supposed to explain everything that happens in the book. She's the author, she can make whatever she wants happen in the book (what a dissapointment).

any brave and loyal gryffindor can pull the sword out of the hat. the hat belonged to gryffindor and so did the sword. they were somehow magically connected. i think...

He pulled it out of the hat.

You see, Gryffindor didn't really steal the sword from the goblins, so in wizarding terms, it is his, and there was a connection b/n the hat and the sword. So if a true, brave Gryffindor really needed a sword and was wearing the hat, the hat would oblige and give it to them, much like Harry recieved the sword in the second book. If you think about it, Griphook would probably miss it just as much as the other person who it was taken away from to give it to Harry in the first place. It was Gryffindors, and it will stay a Gryffindors as long as the hat and the sword remain.

oh and by the way i did look this up on the interent. i had the same question and this was the answer that jk rowling gave, so i hope your uncle finds it satisfying. :D

JK Rowling wanted to make everyone a hero. Therefore she had to make Neville be 'brave enough' to be in Gryffindor. She was probably so tired of thinking up original things so she went back to an old classic (pulling the rabbit out of the hat). She probably didn't even rember that the goblins had the hat.

i agree with charity... but i think she could be a bit nicer to jk rowling. not that nice though, i mite add
